FAQs

Where do sessions take place?

Currently, I am only accepting telehealth sessions at this time. That is expected to change in the near future.

What happens if I get sick or I need to cancel?

We understand that emergencies happen, illnesses occur, and life happens. We ask you to contact us 24 hours in advance to avoid paying the late cancellation/no-show fee. The fee is $75 and is not covered by the out-of-network benefits.

What should I expect from my first session?

The first session is the intake process. This is the time to for you to officially meet your therapist. Your therapist will ask you a variety of questions regarding your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health to understand you holistically and understand your underlying problems and concerns. This meeting will help the therapist to develop and build a treatment plan of goals for you to work on in your sessions. This is also the time for you to ask your questions and be able to identify your goals and expectations regarding your therapist and the therapy process.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are typically about 53 uminutes long which is the standard with most insurances.

How often do we meet?

Typically we meet weekly, at least at first. It is important to help build the relationship by meeting and start working on skill-building and interventions. It is common that once you reach a place of more stability, the frequency can be decreased to biweekly or even monthly.
